Accessibility at Unison
We work hard to ensure our facilities are as accessible as possible. Below we have included some information about how accessibility works at our office in Carlton.
Parking: The closest permit reserved accessible parking spaces are:
– Lygon St across from 251 Lygon St
– Grattan St across from 60 Grattan St
– Lygon St outside of 204-218 Lygon (right outside of Carlton Lygon Lodge)
– Drummond St has 2 spots right outside of 221 Drummond St.
Additionally, there are a number of accessible parking locations nearby; including Ace Parking on Grattan St and the Carlton Clocktower parking garage located on Drummond St. Both parking garages have elevator access to the street.
Entrance: When you arrive at 3 York Place, there are no stairs to access the entry or ground level of the building, with the main entry door having a width of 105cm.
Interior: Our waiting area is large enough to accommodate wheelchairs and contains oversized bench seating for easy access. Therapy Room 1, on the ground floor, has a door measuring 95cm wide and room for a wheelchair and easy seating access inside.
Toilets: Next to Therapy Room 1 is our accessible toilet, equipped with handrails and a door measuring 95cm in width.
