We need someone who understands polyamorous and kink relationships.
I'm exploring my sexuality and need a therapist who won't Judge me.
I need someone to talk to about trauma.

We offer a range of support addressing trauma and PTSD symptoms.

As a trauma-informed practice we focus on providing support that validates you, and what you’ve been through. Our therapists have training in a variety of evidence-based interventions for trauma and we see each individual client as their own unique person and story. No one intervention fits every person.

Send us an enquiry and we’ll get back to you to start the process.

The Unison Philosophy

We meet you where you are

Affirming Support

We understand that relationships can be unique and rarely fit the norm that we see in popular culture. This is why we’re committed to providing affirming therapy facilitated by therapists who understand cultural, gender, relationship and identity-based diversity from a lived-experience perspective. On a typical day, we support individuals and relationships that identify as polyamorous, open, ethically non-monogamous, chosen family, platonic, and the entire rainbow spectrum of the LGBTQIA+ communities, including the sex work and kink communities.

Harm-reduction Integration

We provide integration services for individuals, relationships and in  group therapy settings. Harm-reduction integration is a form of support that recognises the impact that mind-altering medicine can have on a person’s life and worldview. If you have recently exited a clinical trial that provided psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy as an intervention, or you had an experience in your community or during a retreat please reach out to us directly to chat about how we can provide support.

Individuals

Individual therapy goes for 50-60 minutes and is available both in-person and online.

Our team of therapists are trained in a wide variety of approaches including  EMDR, Schema-therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Art Therapy,Internal Family Systems, CBT, Psychedelic-assisted Psychotherapy, Emotion-focused Therapy

Relationships

Relationship Therapy goes for 65-75 minutes and is available online or in person. Our therapists are trained in the Gottman Institute for relationship therapy and Emotion-focused Therapy for relationships.

Every client will receive a tailored program and will always include an individual session for every person in the relationship at the beginning of the journey.
