Our Story

Home is where the heart is.

Unison was established in 2019 with the goal of serving communities that often go under-supported in the mental health sector. Members of the LGBTQIA+, Kink, and gender-nonconforming communities often experience judgement, minimisation and disregard from health professionals who are often naive or bias in a way that causes harm. After experiencing this gap in support first-hand, our founder, Meg, made the decision to create a therapy practice where everyone feels welcome and understood, regardless of their lifestyle, relationships, or identity expression.

Since then we’ve grown into a fully fledged private practice providing mental health services six days a week, both online and in person at our beautiful office in Windsor. Our diverse team includes Gestalt Therapists, Sex Therapists, Art Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, and Relationship Therapists.

Day to day, Unison is managed by Marissa, our Practice Manager, and our office mascot, Meatball. Together, they provide personalised and caring support to all of Unison’s clients, ensuring that no one feels judged or disregarded for who they are or who they love.
